Stokes Still Questionable October 17 2002 By Bryan Hersh of 49ers Paradise THIS CONTENT IS COPYWRITED, REDISTRIBUTION OF IT (including copy/pasting it to a message board, forum or bbs) IS PROHIBITED AND COULD RESULT IN LEGAL ACTIONS - feel free to quote up to 1 paragraph providing a source link to http://www.49ersparadise.cjb.net is included JJ Stokes remains questionable on the 49ers roster. His knee injury is improving, but with the strong performance by Tai Streets on Monday night, the 49ers may decide to play it a little more cautious and give him ample time to heal. That the game will be played in door on artificial turf may also impact the 49ers decisions. Artificial turf if often regarded as a key reason to players injuries, and so the team may decide to keep Stokes out one more week to give the knee more time to heal, but also to make sure it doesn’t regress.
The 49ers will keep James Jordan on their 53 man squad. Jordan saw his first action with the 49ers against the Seahawks, after being activated from the practice squad. He played primarily on special teams and did not catch a pass.
