| Smiles At Mini-Camp April 28 2002 By Bryan Hersh of 49ers Paradise It was all smiles at the 49ers mini-camp this past weekend. Even Steve Mariucci and Terrell Owens were happy to be with one another. How could that be? It appears that when Mariucci went to talk with Owens in Atlanta, the two actually had a productive conversation. Now, although the relationship will take time to heel, the two seem to be getting along quite well. Terrell Owens told Mariucci he was going to come to camp with an open mind, regardless of whether the two had spoken or not. Owens also said he's "content" even "happy" with the 49ers, and that's very encouraging news considering his contract can be terminated after the 2003 season. Conversely, Mariucci told Owens to eliminate the middle man. That if he has a problem with Mooch, he should go directly to Mooch. All of a sudden it looks like the 49ers are communicating.
It's awesome to see the two finally getting along. They don't have to be best friends but they should be able to communicate effectively and overall, get along. It certainly seems that the first step has been taken to reach this goal.
