Pre-season over October 11 2002 By Bryan Hersh of 49ers Paradise THIS CONTENT IS COPYWRITED, REDISTRIBUTION OF IT (including copy/pasting it to a message board, forum or bbs) IS PROHIBITED AND COULD RESULT IN LEGAL ACTIONS - feel free to quote up to 1 paragraph providing a source link to http://www.49ersparadise.cjb.net is included Now that the 49ers have played four games, their starting teams have had their unofficial pre-season. Both the offense and defensive starting units so very minimal action in the NFL’s exhibition season. The result was a rather rusty team that opened the 2003 season. While the 49ers look to have finally shaken off their rust, by dismantling a feeble Rams team, that was really the first ‘complete’ game the team played. With four games behind them, the starting squads have finally had their warm up. Now that the 49ers have shaken their rust off the team needs to grab the reigns and not look back. The team has 12 games ahead of them in which they need be firing on all cylinders. They can’t afford to take games off, as this season they are not a surprise team. The 49ers are no longer sneaking up on any opponents, and thus in order to keep winning, they need to bring their ‘A’ game each and ever week.
Further - I don’t think I’ve ever had so many cliché’s in paragraph… sorry about that.
