Parrish was named winner of the Len Eshmont Award, an award given within the 49ers organization that is recognized as the highest team honour. Voted on by the players of the team, the award is given for courageous and inspirational play. Parrish who has over come testicular surgery and has played with a dislocated elbow is certainly deserving of the honor.
Parish also becomes the first, first year 49er to ever win the award in their first season with the club. He is quickly becoming a leader on the 49ers, a team in desperate need of some on field leadership.
