49ers Working On Changes To “Logotypes” July 19 2002 By Bryan Hersh of 49ers Paradise THIS CONTENT IS COPYWRITED, REDISTRIBUTION OF IT (including copy/pasting it to a message board, forum or bbs) IS PROHIBITED AND COULD RESULT IN LEGAL ACTIONS - feel free to quote up to 1 paragraph providing a source link to http://www.49ersparadise.cjb.net is included 49ers Paradise has learned that the 49ers have been working on new ‘logotypes’ since March of this year. For those of you who are not familiar with what a logo type is, you can view the current logotype in the image to the right. The exact changes, and the magnitude of them have not been made clear yet, nor has the team declared a release date for the logotype. The change to the logotype will not affect the 49ers uniform, or actual logo. Both of those have been recently re-designed. The 49ers pride themselves on their glorious past, so its likely that the changes that are set to occur to the logotype will not be too significant in terms of modifications. It typically takes a long time to re-develop any part of an organizations logo, or logotype. After designing a version, the 49ers will likely field test it first, and continue to make reforms according to the feedback it receives pertaining to the logotype.
The NFL is also ready to release the 2003 Pro Bowl logo. It will feature the NFL shield at the top along with palm trees and a surf board. The NFL would like the logo to represent Hawaii and the NFL quite equally.
