Yesterday the team took a step to help improve the coverage and return units. The team re-signed Terry Killens who was in for a workout on Tuesday. Killens spent time in Denver and Seattle this season after the 49ers let him walk in the off-season. Not being on a NFL roster for the final week or the regular season, Killens was eligible to sign with a playoff club. Killens will play primarily on special teams. He’s a sure tackler and could see minimal time at linebacker where he is an extremely versatile player.
To make room for Killens the 49ers released defensive back Jason Moore.
