The 49ers are believed to be debating between keep Chandler or fellow place kicker Jose Cortez. There is also a possibility the team will keep both. As previously reported by 49ers Paradise, the Jacksonville Jaguars would express interest in Chandler if he was to be made available. More recently the Washington Redskins have expressed a similar sentiment.
The 49ers may indeed be able to muscle some sort of compensation for one of their kickers, if and when they decide to let one go. Whether or not they’d be able to secure a fourth round pick, which is what they spent on Chandler, remains to be seen.
