49ers Back To Work August 18 2002 By Bryan Hersh of 49ers Paradise THIS CONTENT IS COPYWRITED, REDISTRIBUTION OF IT (including copy/pasting it to a message board, forum or bbs) IS PROHIBITED AND COULD RESULT IN LEGAL ACTIONS - feel free to quote up to 1 paragraph providing a source link to http://www.49ersparadise.cjb.net is included The 49ers went back to work on Saturday after a two day rest that marked the end of training camp. The team will face the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, but practices yesterday and today won’t focus much on the game. As with the first two pre-season games, the 49ers are still focusing more on what the team needs to accomplish than what should happen in the game. The 49ers will likely work on game planning, and game preparation in the remaining two games the team will play. Those games will be working with a short rest time, as the 49ers final three games are played in a ten day span.
The 49ers summer has been packed with weeks shortened by international trips and a poor pre-season schedule. The team is vastly more concerned with getting its self ready to play in the regular season than playing in pre-season games. At the moment, health, building chemistry and evaluation are really the only important issues to the team regarding the pre-season games.
