Hearst has already received this year’s NFL Comeback Players Of The Year Award, for returning from a multitude of injuries to his leg that required more surgeries than one can count. After a two year hiatus, Hearst came back into the league and looked every bit as good as his old self. The Halas Award is essentially the same type of an award as the NFL Comeback Player Of The Year Award, only this award is voted on by NFL reporters. Hearst’s 1206 yards rushing, made him an easy pick for the award. Garrison will continue to see lots of competition from youngster Kevan Barlow. The too will push each other in training camp and throughout the season. They are also expected to be in the backfield together at times this season, and that should be most interesting to watch.
Congratulations Garrison, on yet another outstanding accomplishment.
